At O’Brien Palmer, we like to feature our team members to give you an understanding of how we operate, and who will be working alongside you to get the best result. This week, we’d like to introduce one of our younger and newer team members, Joseph Walker, who plays an integral role as an Analyst and provides fantastic assistance to our Management team.
Meet Joseph Walker.
Joseph brings a unique perspective to the insolvency field, having transitioned from the funeral industry, where he developed a strong sense of empathy, professionalism, sensitivity and time management. His experience in helping families cope with loss translates well into his current role, where he now assists business owners potentially facing the closure of their businesses.
Joseph highlights how insolvency, much like his previous career, requires sensitivity, organisation, and strong communication skills, particularly when helping emotionally-charged business owners and creditors.
At O’Brien Palmer, Joseph works closely with senior team members and partners, and being relatively new to the team, has already found himself well supported in the collaborative culture with our team. Everyone, from juniors to senior managers, work closely together to find solutions for our clients, and his role involves conducting investigations and recovering funds for creditors, which allows him to directly contribute to helping businesses find their way back from financial difficulties.
One of the major strengths of O’Brien Palmer, as Joseph points out, is our hands-on approach. Unlike some areas of accounting where the work is more distant and separated from the source, the insolvency team at O’Brien Palmer is often on the ground, meeting business owners, employees, and family members face-to-face – where you can have far more impact get a result that is better suited.
This approach has always ensured a more personal connection with the businesses we are trying to help, allowing Joseph and all of our team to better understand the problems and provide tailored solutions.
Whether a business has one employee or a hundred, our team is ready to guide you through difficult financial decisions and processes, such as the Small Business Restructuring Process, which has already helped so many businesses get back on their feet. And Joseph is proud to be part of the team to see these processes breathe life back into a struggling business that would have had to close its doors had it waited too long to receive guidance and sound advice.
Joseph also reflects on the invaluable life and financial skills that a career in insolvency provides. He is excited about his future with us at O’Brien Palmer and we look forward to him growing in the future within the business development team, where he will get to work directly with directors and families before formal insolvency appointments are made, helping guide them through every step of the process.
If your business is experiencing cash flow difficulties, you can get in touch with myself or one of my very experienced team at O’Brien Palmer. With our proven track record, we are ready to guide you through the process, ensuring the best outcomes for your business and creditors. Get in contact with us today to find out how we can help you.
